Rung ladders with safety cages are in conformance with Italian law: Presidential Decree/2 547/55, Art.17. The obligation of the cage is decreed for fixed rung ladders more than 5 meters high. It is for the planner to choose the solution deemed most appropriate.
We manufacture two models of ladders with protection cages:
MODEL A: The ladder is fixed to the wall from the ground. The protection cage continues for at least 1 meter beyond the last rung
MODEL B: The ladder is fixed to the wall not the ground, but at a minimum of 2 meters from the ground. It comes with a simple, parallel access ladder, which is hooked to it for mounting and descending. This is a security measure to make sure unqualified persons or children cannot climb onto the ladder.
